
Secretary Local Government & Rural Development Abdul Rauf Baloch formally inaugurated the Pak-ID mobile application for online issuance of Birth, Death, Marriage, and Divorce Certificates (CRMS). On this occasion, Additional Secretary Local Government & Rural Development Sanaullah Qureshi, Director NADRA Fayaz ur Rehman, BR Focal Person Syed Abbas Agha, Assistant Director CRMS Zia ur Rehman, along with officers of the Local Government & Rural Development Department and NADRA, were present.
Addressing the ceremony, Secretary Abdul Rauf Baloch stated that today marks an important milestone towards the promotion of citizen-friendly digital services in Balochistan. He said that the launch of the CRMS mobile application is a practical example of modernizing the civil registration system in the province.
He explained that through this mobile application, citizens will now be able to obtain birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates online without visiting local council offices. This initiative will not only save valuable time for the public but will also relieve them from unnecessary difficulties. He added that this step will significantly improve transparency, convenience, and efficiency in civil registration services.
The Secretary further stated that a supplementary agreement has already been signed between NADRA and the Local Government Department for the launch of this application, under which both institutions will ensure smooth implementation of the project through close coordination and full technical support.
He informed that initially the mobile application is being introduced as a pilot project in Quetta district, and based on the successful outcomes of the pilot phase, the service will be gradually extended to other districts of the province.
In conclusion, Abdul Rauf Baloch said that this project is a clear reflection of the Government of Balochistan’s commitment to promoting digital governance and providing better, faster, and more transparent public services, which will ease the lives of citizens and further strengthen institutional systems.
